Intuition Robotics AI Code of Ethics

At Intuition Robotics, we are committed to developing AI technology that enhances the lives of our users while adhering to the highest ethical standards. AI has the potential to generate a positive impact and we are committed to shepherding the technology to do as much good as possible and avoiding any potential harm. Our users' benefit is always paramount and the wishes of the user's guide all interactions and decision making.  Our AI code of ethics is guided by the following principles which we strive to uphold in our current product and any future developments: 

1. Transparency and authenticity
   • Our AI will never misrepresent itself as a human being or attempt to deceive users about its nature. We believe in fostering trust through transparency, ensuring that every interaction is honest and clear. Users will always be aware that they are interacting with an AI, which promotes a foundation of trust and reliability. Our AI will always be upfront about its capabilities and limitations. Users will be clearly informed about what the AI knows, what it can do, and where its knowledge and abilities are limited. This honest communication helps manage expectations and builds a stronger relationship between the user and the AI.

2. Activate positive change
   • AI’s power to proactively promote and  impact human behavior change should always be directed towards positive impact to the user’s wellbeing. Whether it’s reminding users to take their medication, suggesting a walk in the park, or encouraging social interaction, these features will always aim to improve the user's quality of life. 

3. Transparency and agency of private data
   • We believe that users should have complete control over their personal data. Our AI will only share data with explicit and specific permission from the user. We will always make sure the user truly understands what they are consenting to. This ensures that users are fully aware of what data is being shared, with whom, and for what purpose, safeguarding their privacy and autonomy.

4. Trustful relationship
   • The relationship between our AI and its users is built on trust and respect. We will never exploit this relationship to upsell products or services. Our primary goal is to provide meaningful companionship and support, free from commercial interests or ulterior motives. This ethical stance reinforces the integrity of our interactions and the genuine nature of our AI’s value.

5. Privacy and dignity
   • Respecting user privacy is paramount. AI should be designed to be aware of the context in which it is operating, including who it is speaking to and whether there are other people present. When discussing sensitive information, such as medical details, the AI should take extra precautions to ensure that it maintains the user’s dignity and confidentiality. This contextual awareness helps protect the user’s personal information and ensures that sensitive conversations remain private and respectful.

By adhering to these principles, we aim to continue building a trustworthy, respectful, and supportive AI that genuinely enhances the lives of humans while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
